A new approach to secondary English:

The English Project is a series of lively and colourful topic books for Years 7-10 English. Each book is devoted to a theme, skill or approach at the heart of English in the Australian secondary curriculum. The English project is an interesting way for secondary students to enjoy & study a variety of English concepts & skills development. The English project enables students to explore a variety of different genres in a way that will grab their attention.

The English project can be used to help students to apply their writing, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and spelling skills which have been learnt and developed in primary school. Read and Understand Books 1 to 4
These are the first two workbooks in a series of four written for secondary or intermediate students who want to improve their reading comprehension skills. The 15 reading texts in each of the two books deal with contemporary and social issues that teenagers are encouraged to read about. Words and phrases highlighted in each passage are explained in the Vocabulary Study section. There is a variety of comprehension exercises, including Pre-reading Questions and Oral Practice. Vocabulary Building- Books 1 to 4


This series of two workbooks has been specially designed to provide vocabulary practice for secondary students. They are intended for Secondary 1 and 2 students, though Upper-Secondary students who need more practice may benefit from them too. Each book focuses on very common words, such as good, fair, fine, nice, which are either rather vague in meaning or tend to be overused. By working through the 25 exercises, it is hoped that students will be able to improve their vocabulary, as well as make their composition-writing more interesting.
