PUMPKIN CHALLENGE REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN
Did you know that the average Australian basket of groceries has travelled over 70,000km in ‘food miles’ from the paddock to your plate?
Junior Landcare and Yates are challenging Aussie kids to get growing over summer and see who can grow the biggest pumpkin. Yates will be sending free pumpkin seeds to people who register for the challenge. Not only is this a fun outdoors activity for kids, families, schools and groups, but it is a great way to learn about sustainability, the environment and "food miles".

Take part in the Qld Museum Geko Survey
Queensland Museum is asking Queenslanders to take part it the Gecko survey.
Asian House Geckos may be spreading and they may be a growing problem for our
own native geckos, but at the moment, we just don't know.
So we want your help. Have you seen geckos scampering through your house at
night? Or heard their call? Do you think you can you identify an Asian House
Gecko?
