Secondary Humanities Packs Years 7-10
A narritive approach to humanities

<Back to Secondary Year Packs

HUMANITIES : Years 7 -10

A narrative approach is designed to attract and engage middle years students of Humanities/SOSE/HSIE. The key feature of this level of the series is the use of narrative to deliver content. Students are taken through imaginary journeys and experiences where content is contextualised. While facts and skills are methodically woven into the stories, source material and activities provide a natural extension of the narrative.

Students will acquire rigorous core history, geography and economics/commerce skills through the investigation of authentic sources, materials and diagrams that are strongly related to the gripping narrative content.

Parents & students have the choice to take a Humanities course which combines History, Geography & Society & Environment or they can take these courses individually. Taking these courses individually enables students to gain a deeper coverage of these subjects.
